Chapter Philanthropy and Service

"We, the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha, believe in pink. We believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. We believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls and we believe that tomorrow is another day. We believe in miracles and FINDING A CURE."

Through Zeta Tau Alpha's connections with the NFL, Bright Pink, as well as our promotional activities under the Think Pink trademark, our organization clearly is committed to our national philanthropy: breast cancer awareness and education.

Our chapter has worked to spread awareness and raise money for the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation by holding a number of exciting activities and events that encourage breast health and breast cancer education. Whether we are throwing dance parties like "Wear Your Ribbon on Your Sleeve," holding "Real Men Wear Pink" events to involve other organizations in our fight, planning car washes and fundraisers, organizing Pink Out sports games, or simply handing out ribbons, ZTA's Iota Nu chapter is dedicated to supporting the fight against breast cancer and providing education on preventive measures.

Within the community service component of Zeta Tau Alpha there is "general service." General service includes non-philanthropy and non-Greek service events. In the past, we have worked with Mostly Mutts, created holiday cards for the local senior citizen center, and cleaned up litter in conjunction with the Adopt-a-Highway program. We have had events with a variety of local community organizations. Our chapter also participates in larger scale community service events, such as Relay for Life.
